The E1810TR-AS is a 10-way pre-populated consumer unit supplied with Type A RCBOs factory-fitted and an integrated Type 2 Surge Protection Device (SPD), providing a complete, ready-to-wire consumer unit solution for modern domestic electrical installations. Every outgoing circuit is individually protected by a Type A RCBO — combining overcurrent, short-circuit and earth leakage protection (including pulsating DC fault detection) in each device. This eliminates nuisance tripping across unrelated circuits and provides the highest level of discrimination.

Type A RCBOs detect both AC sinusoidal and pulsating DC residual currents, meeting the requirements of BS 7671 (18th Edition) Amendment 2 for circuits supplying EV chargers, heat pumps, solar inverters and equipment with electronic converters. The pre-populated configuration saves significant installation time — the installer simply connects the incoming supply and outgoing circuit cables without needing to source and fit individual protective devices.

Installation Notes

This consumer unit must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition). Always isolate the supply before installation. All RCBOs are factory-fitted — the installer connects the incoming supply tails to the main switch and routes outgoing circuit cables to the appropriate RCBO terminals. Each RCBO neutral must be connected to the device’s N terminal (not the main neutral bar) for the RCD element to function correctly. The integrated SPD status indicator should be checked periodically — replace the SPD module if the indicator shows red. RCBO test buttons should be operated at least quarterly. Mount on a flat, non-combustible surface at a height between 450mm and 1350mm from finished floor level.
