The DGB1-63H is a 10kA high breaking capacity Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) providing superior overcurrent and short-circuit protection for domestic, commercial and light industrial electrical installations. With a 10kA rated short-circuit breaking capacity — the highest grade commonly specified for residential and commercial work under BS 7671 (18th Edition) — this MCB is suitable for installations close to the supply transformer where prospective fault currents exceed 6kA.

Manufactured to IEC/EN 60898-1 and designed for 35mm DIN rail mounting, the DGB1-63H features a Type C thermal-magnetic trip mechanism with a 5–10In instantaneous trip range. This makes it ideal for general wiring, socket circuits, lighting circuits, cooker circuits and loads with moderate inrush current. Available in 1P, 2P, 3P and 4P configurations with current ratings from 6A to 63A, it is compatible with all consumer units and standard distribution boards.

Installation Notes

This MCB must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations). Always isolate the supply before installation. Connect cables with a maximum cross-sectional area of 25mm² and tighten terminals to 3.5 Nm. The MCB clips onto a 35mm DIN rail inside an appropriate consumer unit or distribution board. The 10kA rating makes this MCB suitable for installations close to the supply transformer where prospective fault currents are higher than 6kA.
